When Katrina and Kevin contacted me about their surprise wedding I squealed! What a fantastic and special idea! These two have been together for so many years and have three beautiful daughters together. When they decided to up and move their family to Canada in search of a slower, simpler life they decided that their good-bye dinner would be the best time to literally tie the knot. A ceremony the whole family had been waiting for.
The bride waited upstairs in her room at the Linsmohr Hotel in Pitmedden with their daughters while the groom anxiously awaited the arrival of the first guests that would be greeted by a sign announcing the surprise. Tears and gasps abounded !
Everyone followed the groom into the ceremony room where they all excitedly awaited the bride. The
ceremony began in the usual fashion but quickly took another unexpected turn. Katrina and Kevin, despite having planned an intimate wedding, were actually not engaged yet. So down on one knee Kevin went and proposed during the ceremony making it the shortest engagement ever of five minutes! So cute! They then "tied the knot" and were married!
I love small intimate weddings like this! Congratulations Kevin and Katrina and I hope your move to Canada went smoothly!
Following the ceremony and after portraits they joined their 25 guests for a meal. The Linsmohr was the perfect venue for this small, laid back affair. I cannot wait te be invited back!
